On Wednesday, PlayStation officially announces that video game players will be able to purchase Sony’s PlayStation 5 video game console. The PlayStation 5 will launch in the United States on November 12th, offering a digital edition for $399.99 as well as the standard model for $499.99.
Sony included the reveal of several new games for their digital showcase, including: Final Fantasy XVI, Fresh footage of the Spider-Man spinoff, Hogwarts legacy, and a collection of games on PlayStation Plus.
Fans all around the world have supported the release of PlayStation 5, and it shows how much people truly enjoy this production. “Since we first announced our next generation console last year, we have received astounding support from developers and gaming fans all around the world, and it’s truly humbling,” said Jim Ryan, president and CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment, in a statement.
The PlayStation 5 release is expected to mark a shift in pricing on games. Various titles have increased their starting price point to $69.99 which is about $10 higher than previous titles released.
