Dan Ives, an analyst with Wedbush Securities contends that the release of the devices believed to be called iPhone 12 is a “once in a decade” upgrade opportunity for Apple that will be its biggest seller since 2014’s iPhone 6, the first of the modern iPhones to have a larger LCD screen.
Consumers have waited at least three and a half years to upgrade because Apple promised that this upgrade would consist of the new, faster wireless 5G networks. It is very easily assumed that the power of 5G within the new iPhone 12’s will spark consumers to hit the pre-order button that became available as early as October 16, 2020.
