The University of Southern Mississippi held a media day Tuesday October 26, 2021 to share news that the athletics department is joining the Sunbelt Conference. Conference USA is USM’s current conference. The school is known as one of the only schools that has remained in Conference USA’s division for over 10 years. This was a pivotal moment for USM and the Sunbelt Conference.
